The choir supports a number of charities, which are the
recipients of money collected from our concert programme. Charities are reviewed
and selected annually by the Executive Committee and the whole choir.

prostate cancer on the community. |
Braille Music Camp
In 1986, a group of professional Braille reading musicians
decided to establish a camp to provide blind music students with opportunities
to practice and improve their Braille music skills. This venture stemmed from a
long held desire to keep the Braille music reading community independent and
skilled. In July this year, the National Braille Music Camp will hold its
twentieth camp. The networking that takes place at these camps contributes to
the development of long-lasting contacts throughout Australia and abroad, and a
place where Braille music readers are in the majority. The music camp is held in
the Southern Highlands of NSW.

service providing aeromedical emergency and primary health care services
together with communication and education assistance to people who live, work
and travel in regional and remote Australia.

Testimonials
"On behalf of the National Breast Cancer Foundation and its Trustees may I
sincerely thank the Ku-ring-gai Male Choir for the wonderful support given to
the Foundation. It is not often that a breast cancer organisation can boast the
support of an all-male choir. It was very important in raising the awareness
about the impact a breast cancer diagnosis can have on husbands, brothers,
fathers and friends, and we appreciate your initiative in bringing this to the
public's attention."
Susan Murray - General Manager, National Breast Cancer Foundation
International Year of Volunteers Award Ceremony
"The response of the audience of 600 both on the evening and in subsequent
comments and correspondence to me reflects the great appreciation of those
privileged to hear the choir perform."
Dr Brendan Nelson M.P.
"I have no hesitation in recommending the Ku-ring-gai Male Choir as a
performing group of quality singers who have a strong sense of community
responsibilities as well as commitments to bring enjoyment into the lives of so
many fellow Australians."
John Pryde - Principal, Sir Eric Woodward Memorial School
